Bog Cottage

Bog Cottage Bog Cottage overlooks the wonderful gardens of Upton House. Originally a banqueting house in the 18th century, this warm red brick building was converted to a cottage by Viscount Bearsted in the 1930's and has lofty interiors that gives it a jolly garden party feel. It overlooks the pretty bog garden created in the 1930s with lush green plants and streams running through it. Included in your stay is a pass to enjoy the main house and gardens during opening times.

The cottage comprises of hallway, utility room with lavatory. Open plan spacious living room combining the kitchen with Range master electric cooker, dining and sitting room. Upstairs there is a bathroom with bath and separate shower cubicle, double bedroom with 5' bed and a twin bedroom. . Travel by road

Upton House and Gardens is off the main road, A422 between Stratford upon Avon and Banbury. From Stratford it is past the village of Pilliton Priors and from Banbury it is just past Wroxton. Just follow the brown national trust signs for Upton House and Gardens.

By public transport

From Stratford on Avon. Just 4 miles south on Stratford on Avon and just off the A422 to Banbury. When on the A422 heading south for 3 miles you will come across a turning to Loxley. Turn Left and continue up the road for approximately 200 yards. The Holiday Cottage is the down the 2nd driveway on the left. From the M40 Junction 15. Follow the A429 sign posted to Stow. Continue for approximately 5 miles until the A429 turns off left at an island (by the Fire Station). Continue straight on at that island on a minor road, until you see the sign off to the left for Loxley Village. Drive through the village, then after approximately 1 mile you will come across the driveway on your right.
