This remarkable theatre has already won a place in the hearts of many patrons, and was described by the Financial Times as 'one of the finest theatrical spaces of recent years'. In June 2007, The Courtyard Theatre won an award from the Royal Institute of British Architects and is a contender in this year's Stirling Prize. As well as watching a number of breath-taking performances, visitors to The Courtyard Theatre can also enjoy free tours, revealing a fascinating insight into the backstage world of the RSC.


Travel by road

Stratford-upon-Avon, located in Warwickshire, is just a short drive from Junction 15 of the M40, giving good access to the M42, M5, M6 and M25. There are a number of pay and display car parks in town, as well as metered street parking (free after 6pm). There are a variety of car parks in Stratford-upon-Avon which charge a fee. The car park closest to The Courtyard Theatre is on Church Street (open Mon - Fri, 6pm - midnight, Sat and Bank Holidays all day).
