Gaydon Inn was notorious for its connections with highwaymen in the 18th century. The 16th century manor house was once the home of the Askell family. The church clock is a 1914-18 war memorial and the village flagpole commemorates the 1977 Silver Jubilee.
The nearby Heritage Motor Centre museum has a large collection of some of the very first cars to take to British roads, right up to the latest designs. The museum is also an excellent centre for national and international conventions and exhibitions.
